Bl. Anthony Manzi
Feast day: February 1
Died: 1267
Pilgrim hermit also called Manzoni. He was born in Padua, Italy, to a wealthy family and gave his inheritance to the poor. Called "the Pilgrim," Anthony wandered across Europe and into Jerusalem. He was an outcast, shunned, even by his two sisters who were nuns, for giving away a fortune. Anthony took up residence outside of a church in Padua and died there. Miracles accounted at his grave led to a city-wide veneration.
